Festa Junina.

At one school i attended in Brazil. They had a raffle competition for queen and King. Each class had a Queen and a King. I remember I was choosen Queen and Leonardo, a boy I liked was king. The boys actually fought over who would run, so we voted. Leo won, he was my Leonardo DiCaprio. Also, the hight of my romantic life with boys.

We didn’t win. We had to sell raffle tickets and i was determined. I tried selling to anyone i could. Family, potential pedophiles next door, more neighbors, our grocor and vendors near by, anyone. We still lost, people told methe girl’s mom had bought $200 reals worth of them. Which back then was really rediculous.  Me and Leo danced with all the other kids from other grades.

I wonder what would have happened if i’d stayed in Brazil.
